EP: Logue [qd-4243] (2007)

Acid42 - Logue album cover

Logue is six tracks of melancholic electronica reminiscent of Cocteau Twins, Fra Lippo Lippi, and Dead Can Dance. It’s a sad album overall, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have uptempo tracks as well as downtempo ones.

Album Concept

It’s sometimes surprising how periods of darkness give birth to so much light. Logue is a collection of hopeful and melodic electronica informed by 1980s new wave tunes and minimal chord patterns, but born out of a dark period of loss and longing. Catharsis in melody, hope in creation, urban melancholia in the extreme, but spiritual reinvigoration as well.
